Start with the symptom

Writing feels scratchy or skips. A worn tip, not a dead pen. Tip packs from A$24.95.
Nothing registers at all. Test on another device that takes the same pen first.
Stopped working after an update. Restart before you buy anything.
Button does nothing. On newer models there is no Bluetooth, so that is expected.
Lost it. Check the model number, then order the matching Samsung S Pen replacement.
