About the Note 8 S Pen

There is not one. The Note 8 pen has no radio, so there is no pairing menu, no remote shutter and no air gestures. The Bluetooth button arrives with the Note 9 pen the following year.

With no battery and no radio, that leaves the tip sensor or the pen body. Test it on another Note 8 if you can find one. Failing on both means it is finished, and there is nothing to repair.
